The Business Council for Economic Cooperation with Australia at the Croatian Chamber of Economy

The Croatian Chamber of Economy has established the Business Council for Economic Cooperation with Australia.

The aim of the Business Council is to encourage and strengthen the economic relations between Croatia and Australia.

Activities of the Council include exchange of experience and information regarding business conditions on the Australian market as well as preparation of proposals and participation in the activities of the Croatian Chamber of Economy related to enhancing cooperation with the Australian market. Activities of the Council also include cooperation with the Australian-Croatian Chambers of Commerce in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) and other economic associations as well as providing the information on business environment in Croatia.

The Council will be directly involved in project activities by participating in trade fairs, delegations, B2B meetings and educations, and members will have access to the analysis carried out during the project. The conducted educations will enable the dissemination of knowledge to other interested entrepreneurs. The formation of working groups for particular economic sectors is planned in order to better define the specific interests of entrepreneurs and to connect them with the same working groups established in Australian-Croatian Chambers operating in Australia. Croatia and Australia have a very close relationship largely because more than 200,000 members of the Croatian diaspora live in Australia. Australia is an open and highly positioned economy, the fifth largest economy in the Asia-Pacific region, with 23 million residents that are highly educated and well known in the world for its innovations.

Expected results of the activity of the Council:

Raising the level of information exchange,

Increase in exports of Croatian products and services to the Australian market,

Linking Croatian and Australian entrepreneurs.

Marko Marić, Executive Director for Western Europe and Overseas Markets in Podravka d.d., was elected for the President of the Council. Anamaria Hauptfeld Schweitzer, Member of the Management Board of Katarina-line, and Tatjana Kukavica from Končar - Instrument Transformers were elected for Vice-Presidents.

Poslovno vijeće za gospodarsku suradnju s Australijom pri HGK

Hrvatska gospodarska komora osnovala je Poslovno vijeće za gospodarsku suradnju s Australijom.
Cilj je Poslovnoga vijeća poticanje i jačanje gospodarskih odnosa Hrvatske i Australije.

Aktivnosti Vijeća uključuju razmjenu iskustava i informacija o problematici poslovanja na tome tržištu, pripremu prijedloga i sudjelovanje u aktivnostima Hrvatske gospodarske komore u vezi s poboljšanjem suradnje s australskim tržištem te suradnju s australsko-hrvatskim gospodarskim komorama u Perthu, Adelaideu, Melbourneu i Sydneyu, Australskom trgovačkom i investicijskom komisijom (Austrade) i drugim gospodarskim udruženjima, pružajući informacije i u vezi s poslovanjem u Hrvatskoj.

Vijeće će biti izravno uključeno u projektne aktivnosti sudjelovanjem na sajamskim izložbama, delegacijama, B2B susretima i edukacijama, te će članovi imati pristup analizama koje će se tijekom projekta provesti. Edukacije će omogućiti širenje znanja i drugim zainteresiranim poduzetnicima. Planira se formiranje radnih skupina po pojedinim gospodarskim sektorima kako bi se što bolje profilirali specifični interesi poduzetnika te povezivanje s isto takvim radnim skupinama osnovanim u australsko-hrvatskim komorama koje djeluju u Australiji.

Hrvatska i Australija imaju vrlo bliske odnose velikim dijelom i zato što više od 200.000 pripadnika hrvatske dijaspore živi u Australiji. Australija je otvoreno i visokopozicionirano gospodarstvo, peto najveće gospodarstvo u regiji Azije i Pacifika s 23 milijuna stanovnika, s izrazito obrazovanim stanovništvom, a poznato je u svijetu po inovacijama.

Očekivani rezultati rada Vijeća:

podizanje razine informiranosti,

povezivanje hrvatskih i australskih poduzetnika,

povećanje izvoza hrvatskih proizvoda i usluga na tržište Australije.

Za predsjednika Vijeća izabran je Marko Marić, izvršni direktor Podravke za zapadnu Europu i prekomorska tržišta, a za zamjenice predsjednika Anamaria Hauptfeld Schweitzer, članica Uprave Katarina-linea te Tatjana Kukavica iz Končar – Mjernih transformatora.
